Yes!!! A hit! Yet again! Even the littlies devoured it!
Very similar to the Australian Chop Suey recipe only no curry or pineapple. I also have another recipe called "Ki Si Ming" which is pretty much identical to this but with soy sauce. I did have to add a couple of chicken stock cubes just for some extra flavour and I'm wondering if the soy sauce would have done that. So next time I reckon I'll add soy sauce and maybe call it "Hi Li Ki Si Ming" ROFL!!! Or maybe people can just add their own soy sauce to taste? Honestly you don't need the soy sauce but it would add an extra kick.
Anyway this was an awesome dish...so much so that I went back for........thirds! *blushes*
- 1/4 cabbage
- 2 cups (370g) rice (uncooked)
- 1/2 cup peas
- 2 onions
- 2 packets dried chicken noodle soup
- 500g mince
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 litre water
